The dialogic model of conflict prevention and resolution was piloted in the centre.

Impact and successes

The practice allowed them to express themselves freely and promote feelings that they can change something. A boy that usually does not participate was successfully engaged in the activity and subsequently became less apathetic.

Lessons, learning and recommendations

High turnover and consequently little participation in terms of number. Each time Successful Educational Actions (SEAs) were implemented, some participants missed or some others were new so it was not the same group, thus the work was not constant.

The fact that the implementation lasted only a few months, and that Ramadan occurred during this period which limited some boys’ engagement, presented an additional challenge.
