On average 18 minors were involved. They implemented Dialogical Literally Gatherings (DLGs) once a week.

Impact and successes

Young people used DLG to exchange views and to come together to understand some more challenging words. They have learned to help one other and feel more confident in their abilities.

Lessons, learning and recommendations

Classics books with simplified language were used because the newly arrived children did not speak Italian fluently.

Before the start of each DLG, minors gathered together with their teachers to read and understand the meaning of specific words in Italian encountered throughout the pages of the chosen book. The work group lasted between half an hour and one hour. After a small break, the DLG started.
