Are you working with or supporting children from a migrant and refugee background? Would you like to connect with others working in the field? Then our online community is a great place to share ideas, discuss challenges, or just hear from others like yourself.

Forums

Our community space is open to anyone with an interest in the area, whether you're a teacher or support worker, a family member, or a researcher. To help ensure this is a safe space, we do ask you to agree to a set of principles before you register, which you can read here.

To join online discussions and post content you'll need to complete a simple registration process here. Once registered, you're free to start a new discussion or ask a question to the community, as well as comment on existing conversations.

The resources and tools in this Platform are designed to support a group of people who are vulnerable and likely to have experienced multiple challenges in their lives. Before you implement any of the activities, it is therefore important that you:

Do not modify or amend the activities unless they specifically say that it is appropriate to do so. The resources and tools have been comprehensively tested and they can only have their intended impact if delivered in the way described.
Read any relevant information in the resources on how to deliver the activities and how to work with and support children from a refugee and migrant background.
Where relevant, deliver activities in the appropriate order. Some activities can be delivered in isolation but many others need to be delivered in a specific order or as part of a wider work package; this will always be explained if this is the case.

Principles of do no harm and ensuring the safety and rights of the child is central to all activities and should be the first consideration when implementing these activities. There are a wide range of child protection policies and safeguarding resources available here.
